Canal+ Group announced that it will broadcast more football on TV in African countries where it is present. From June 3 to July 10, the French pay TV group will broadcast all 32 matches of the Copa America Centenario and 51 matches of the UEFA Euro 2016 football competitions.
The games will be carried on Canal + Sport 1 and Canal + Sport 2. A web device has also been set up to relay the 2 events along with all sorts of trailers, videos and information: a dedicated website and Facebook pages of Africa Canal+ and Canal+ Sport Africa.
The pay TV provider also announced the deployment of its team of sports journalists and consultants including great names of African football such as Aboubacry Ba, Sandra Tshiyombo, Lilian Gatounes Habib Baye, Patrick Mboma, Claude Le Roy, Pape Diouf, Samuel Lobe, José Pierre-Fanfan, Messaoud Benterki Stephane Guy David Berger and Philippe Doucet.
In addition to the games, Canal+ has also planned different programs such as “Road to the Euro”, a meeting of 26 minutes produced by UEFA, which has 24 teams qualified for the Euro. In addition, the pay TV provider has planned 5 issues of the “Feast of the Foot,” presented live and in public, with consultants and world football experts. At the break of each match of Euro, Canal+ will offer a mini humorous program “Halftime”.
